Apparel Export Promotion Council

What is AEPC Certification?

The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) is a government organization dedicated to boosting Indian apparel exports. AEPC supports the growth of the Indian garment manufacturing and textile sectors in both domestic and international markets.

Textile exporters must obtain the AEPC e-RCMC (Registration Cum Membership Certificate) to access various benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy. These benefits include grants for market development assistance and participation in export promotion schemes. Under AEPC, exporters can either become member exporters or register as exporters with the council.

This certification helps exporters leverage government schemes and facilitates smoother trade operations in the apparel export segment.

Objectives of Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC)

The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has several key objectives designed to benefit its members and the Indian apparel export industry as a whole. Some of the primary goals of AEPC include:

  • Implementing strategies to increase apparel exports from India.

  • Enhancing workforce skills to improve the quality of apparel production.

  • Collaborating closely with the government in setting export targets, planning future initiatives, and forecasting economic trends.

  • Providing exporters with financial and technical support, along with valuable research data to enhance product quality and market competitiveness.
